Advance your understanding of the process, issues, and techniques involved in administering compensation and benefits. Gain insight into the compensation function and its link to the human resource management system. The relationship between motivation, compensation and benefits, and organizational effectiveness is also explored.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Describe and apply key theoretical and applied aspects of exploring recruitment, total compensation, and retention
  • Explain the relationship between motivation and total compensation and identify strategies to positively impact individual productivity and organizational effectiveness
  • Identify the key components of job descriptions and demonstrate how the components are utilized when conducting effective job evaluations to ensure internal equity
  • Explain the importance of salary surveys, job analysis, and labour market analysis to ensure external and internal salary equity
