Course Description

This workshop will help you identify and study 19 species of sparrows found in Ontario.  We will use hands-on activities to learn plumages, songs and habitat use of this difficult-to-identify group.  Over lunch we'll be hiking through The Arboretum looking for our resident sparrows (so please pack a lunch).  An information booklet will be provided. Arboretum Naturalist:  Chris Earley, author of Sparrows and Finches of the Great Lakes Region and Eastern North America.
