We are offering a unique walling course with ‘tons’ of hands on experience for the beginner as well as intermediate builder. Several fun elements will be provided for the enthusiast looking to be creative using only random local fieldstone. Participants will have two days of instruction building a traditional dry laid wall, learning ‘first hand’ many practical walling concepts such as batter, throughstones, coverbands, hearting, bonding and coping with DSWAC president and dry stone artist John Shaw-Rimmington (thinking-stoneman.blogspot.ca). Printed material will be provided and there will be an indoor audio visual presentation if there are especially rainy periods. Guest Instructor: John Shaw - Rimmington.
