Course Description

This course provides students with an understanding of the concepts, principles, and practices for project management with special focus on planning, controlling, and managing projects to success. The course also emphasizes the techniques most frequently used in the context of both internal and external organizational roles of a project manager.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, you should be able to reach the following outcomes:

  • identify the elements of the PM life cycle
  • describe project management processes
  • demonstrate how to reliably estimate the status of projects
  • use basic tools and techniques to plan, organize, and manage a project
  • explain the principles of team leadership while managing projects
  • illustrate how to optimize results while managing constraints
  • explain the managerial, cultural, and social aspects of project management
  • interact with peers, clients, and supervisors in a professional and ethical manner.
